ITS TIME TO TAKE MY LIFE BACK! Medically retired nurse after 17 years service in the NHS. Forgotten by all my “friends” & Colleagues (except one) A string of medical neglect under the same trust who abandoned me when I got sick. My bladder ulcers bleed excessively when I walk and the pain is excruciating all the time. I was abandoned by a trust I gave my life to at 17 years old. That NHS trust needs to do better and take care of its staff!! To the colleagues who abandoned me Remember this “you really are nothing but a number” My bladder is sloughy, ulcerated and so unbelievably painful so now I am signed off for major surgery to have my bladder removed and a stoma on the 29th of June (I will update on here and share my stoma journey when I am feeling a bit better and out of hospital). I now have a handful of genuine incredible friends thanks to the amazing reborn community who love me and support me. Real friends and family are worth more than gold. I owe my life to my partner.
