What’s something I do behind the scenes that most students don’t see? I cry. A lot, actually. I’m just an emotional person—good or bad, it’s part of what makes me who I am. That soft side of me doesn’t always show up on the mat. When I’m teaching, it’s strong, intense, powerful. But underneath that, I’m a softie. TV shows get me. Songs get me. I care deeply about the people in my life. I just want to love my people and be loved back. If you’ve been around me long enough, you’ve probably seen that side. And if not—you will.
