I’m not talking about Appalachian metaphors or phrases we use that outsiders might not understand. I’m talking about having an accent and being told the way I say words are wrong. I’ve even had people comment on my tiktoks and tell me the way I say certain words is wrong. It’s not wrong, it’s just my accent. Now if I said a word I learned from reading and it was wrong, that’s completely different and I will correct myself, but most of the time it’s literally just my accent. But guess what?
