I liked the mix of romantic suspense, second chance romance, and forced proximity. Cole and Tessa already had history, so there was tension between them right away, but it did not feel overly drawn out. Cole definitely had that protective energy, and I liked seeing him step back into Tessa’s life when everything around her started getting dangerous. The audiobook was really good.
