i feel like i have dedicated my whole life to trying to be the smallest version of myself possible which has contributed to the binge eating that i struggle with now (ESPECIALLY in a society where skinny is celebrated)!💌 Unlike other eating disorders BED recovery doesn’t look like gaining weight and becoming a ‘healthy size’ but more about healing your relationship with food to become a healthy size for YOU 🫶🏼 i don’t think it’s spoken about enough but the mental strain on weight gain, alongside the guilt and shame that already comes with BED can be unbearable and ruin events that you would otherwise have loved ♥️🌟 your body should be a product of a balanced diet and movement you enjoy doing rather than doing either to change your body 🫀 a healthy body is one that has a period, is strong, where you feel good, you can run and jump and lift and do all of the fun things some people aren’t fortunate enough to be able to ❤️🩹 it’s definitely a journey but the more you appreciate your body for what it can do, the less focus you’ll have on the weight and whether or not that’s a positive thing 🫶🏼🫶🏼 lots of love lauren xoxox #bingeeatingdisorder #bed #bingeeating #bodydysmorphia #edrecovery
