@shealeenlouise trying out our Stonehenge Aqua Black panel! Shealeen’s tips for painting with watercolor on black paper: 1: “You need to use opaque watercolors for it to work. Transparent paints won’t work by themselves on this one. The two opaque colors I always has on my palette are Cadmium red and Naples yellow. They both work perfectly on this. BUT my work around to using *all* my watercolors is to start with white gouache (an opaque type of watercolor), then mix it with whatever color I want to use.” 2. “Alternatively, you can do a layer of white gouache on your paper, and then put transparent watercolors right on top of it!! (Which is what I was doing a lot of in this painting!)” Learn more about our panels: legionpaper.com/panels #WeArePaper #LegionPaper #LegionArtistPanels
