Charlie Diab, a Royal Canadian Navy marine technician in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is facing serious charges involving the alleged sexual abuse of a child. The allegations concern incidents between February 2024 and February 2025. Diab is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and making child sexual abuse and exploitation material. Diab was arrested at his workplace at CFB Halifax and spent one night in custody before being released on $5,000 bail. He is prohibited from contacting the alleged victim or anyone under 16 and from attending places where children commonly gather. His release conditions also severely restrict his access to internet-capable devices and certain areas of his apartment building.
