Meeting someone else locally who battles IC is a feeling I can’t quite put into words. The outside world sees us smiling, showing up, pushing through our days as if everything is fine… but internally, the reality is so much heavier than most people realize. For the first time in a while, I felt understood without having to explain every detail. Hearing her say she’s in remission gave me something I’ve been struggling to hold onto lately: hope. Hope that maybe one day my body will find peace too.
