Please share this video ‼️‼️‼️ This is the hardest video I’ve ever had to make and upload. It feels literally like the only option to be able to keep my Mum alive longer. If you’re reading this, firstly thank you so much for being here. I’m asking you from the bottom of my heart… please help in any way you can to get this video out. We urgently need to raise funds to either access tarlatamab immunotherapy or restart the intensive private integrative treatments that previously helped Mum’s body stay strong enough to continue fighting alongside her NHS treatment. Mum was originally told she would never offered targeted radiotherapy for her type of cancer. It wasn’t any treatment to fight for her life, only palliative. After responding so well, another hospital reviewed her case and offered her the very treatment she had previously been told she would never receive. To this day, the tumour that radiotherapy targeted remains controlled = gone! Even despite the new spread, the targeted radiation works! We were only able to reach that point of treatment because we fought with everything we had, raised money, refusing to accept 6months to live. Since then, the cancer has spread, and now we’re facing the biggest fight yet. Right now: • Mum has a tumour of around 5 cm above her heart that needs treating. • She has a bile duct obstruction. • She has cancer affecting her duodenum. • She has fluid around her heart. • She has a lung infection. • She isn’t sleeping. • She isn’t eating properly. We battle the thoughts of if we didn’t stop the treatments back then, if we had the money, we wouldn’t be facing this now but we had no other option! Chemotherapy has been recommended but as her family we are deeply worried about how much her body can tolerate in its current condition. If we weaken her body with chemo, it will just give the cancer more chance to spread further and quicker. The caption continues in the comments, please read 🙏🏽 Our immediate goal is to help rebuild her strength through the same intensive integrative treatments that previously supported her, giving her the best possible chance of tolerating further treatment and accessing additional treatment of targeted radiotherapy - what her oncology team considers appropriate when her body is strong enough again. These treatments cost hundreds of pounds per session and need to be given multiple times each week. We simply cannot do this alone. Small cell lung cancer doesn’t wait. Neither can we. It spreads so fast. I’m making this video because I refuse to look back and wonder if there was something more we could have done for our Mum. My mum is my best friend, my whole world. She is literally my spine, holding me upright through a life that hasn’t been easy. She’s loved my so unconditionally and I can’t even imagine living without her. Her not knowing my baby when she grows and my daughter not knowing her nanny. We CAN continue this fight but it all comes down to money and it’s so sickening. She doesn’t have to die so soon, we can have more time with her as these treatments work! Please help us have more time with our Mum.
