I know a few of y’all have been wondering why Shirley appears more human than other vampires both traditionally and in our story, and the answer is that she takes (sometimes extreme) measures to hide her vampiric features! Her methods include self tanner to hide her pale complexion, bright red lipstick to make her red eyes appear as a muted brown, filing her fangs to a duller point, and… scissors… for her pointed ears. I will spare the gorey details, but I’ll let you know it was quite a process to ensure her ear healed into a rounded shape with vampiric super healing and all.
