🛹Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk left his board near Eight Mile and Southfield for someone to find. A fan named Matt saw Hawk’s Instagram post and went to pick it up. Matt told MDN he opened Instagram while sitting in his truck. Hawk’s video was first in his feed and less than five minutes old. He recognized the spot, about 10 minutes away. “I wonder if it’s there still,” Matt recalled thinking. “Sure enough, it was there when I pulled up.” “You only get one shot… to find it,” Hawk wrote in his post about leaving the board at Detroit’s city limits. He later confirmed Matt had found it, tagging his account. Hawk was among the announced guests for The Coney, a fundraiser at the Detroit Opera House supporting arts education for Detroit children.
