You can’t criticize the lack of research and then refuse to support more of it. Advocating also means sharing the therapies we’ve found, what has worked for Benjamin, and what we’ve seen make a difference in his life. I feel very strongly about DMI. A big reason DMI is controversial is because there isn’t enough published research yet to show its effectiveness. I post about DMI because I think it’s life-changing. If you sat through as many sessions as I have, asked questions, learned what these exercises are doing and why they’re doing them, and then watched those things translate into real life, you probably would too. There’s a huge difference between having an opinion about a therapy and actually learning what it does. And that’s exactly why we need research. There is a petition linked in my bio calling for more research into DMI, and it would mean so much if our community would go sign it. Research could help us better understand DMI and hopefully lead to better insurance coverage and access so more kids have the opportunity to receive it. #cerebralpalsy #dmitherapy #hie
