A 48-year-old woman has now been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing of a 7-year-old girl in broad daylight this weekend on the city's South Side, Chicago police said. A vigil was held Sunday to honor the little girl, Eddimar Paola Hernandez, who was stabbed to death Saturday in Chatham. Family and community members gathered near 86th and South Cottage Grove, where Chicago police said the attack happened. Hernandez's family were immediately brought to the knees Sunday the moment they returned to the spot where the beloved 7-year-old girl was attacked the day before.
