During Michael’s live shows, I would add accents in real time to enhance the choreography, movement, emotion, and energy on stage. Almost like a foley artist…but through drums and percussion. Every hit had to be placed with precision because the drums weren’t just keeping time…they were helping tell the story visually and musically at the same time. Some of these little accents may go unnoticed at first listen…but they were a huge part of bringing the live performances to life.
