What started as a completely normal conversation with my daughter somehow turned into me discovering that she had absolutely NO idea how our family relationships work… 😂🤦‍♂️ First she confused brothers with boyfriends, then apparently thought her mum and I were brother and sister, and before I knew it I was trying to explain the difference between brothers, boyfriends, husbands, wives, marriage and having babies. 😂 Eventually she pieced together her own wonderfully confused version of our family story — how I came to China, met her mum, we got married, had two kids and eventually filled the house with animals. Just another completely random conversation with a six-year-old that somehow became one of those little moments I’ll probably remember forever. ❤️
