Guys this is once in a lifetime & you do not want to miss it!!!🌒☄️✨ On Wednesday 12th August, Ireland will get an incredible partial solar eclipse. In Dublin, it starts around 6:12pm, reaches its maximum at about 7:10pm, and finishes around 8:05pm. 🌞🌑 You will see times of other counties at the end of the reel. And then… it gets even better 🤩🤩🤩 That same night is the peak of the Perseid meteor shower, so once it gets dark, keep looking up for shooting stars ✨☄️ The Perseids are one of the best meteor showers of the year, and this year the dark, moonless sky should make conditions particularly good. 📍 In Dublin: Astronomy Ireland are also hosting a watch party at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre, so this could be a really fun family evening. ⚠️ IMPORTANT: You MUST use proper, certified solar eclipse glasses to look at the Sun. Normal sunglasses are NOT safe. Never look directly at the Sun without proper protection, even when most of it is covered. 😎🌞 The last time this happened was 1999 so it truly is not to be missed. It will be an amazing memory for the kids, pack a picnic, grab a bag or chips and make a night of it! The kids will remember it forever! ☄️✨ SEND THIS TO A FRIEND SO THEY DON’T MISS OUT! 💛 Follow for more family adventures, things to do and ideas for making the most of these years while they’re little. ✨
