Florida State Representative Angie Nixon disrupted a House special session this week shouting into a bullhorn that the new redistricting plan is unconstitutional. “As Gov. Ron DeSantis and our legislative body push illegal, rigged legislative maps, Floridians are clear that politics as usual is unsustainable. Democracy is falling. The Voting Rights Act is gutted, the voice of the people is ignored and gerrymandering is advanced, and other leaders are offering platitudes," Nixon wrote on social media. “We can’t keep electing the same kinds of people – people who serve themselves instead of the people who put them in office in the first place.
