Prosecutors said Precious Arzuaga was the “ringleader” of a group that tortured and murdered a transgender man. She has now been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. In February 2025, police found the body of Sam Nordquist in a Yates County field. Authorities said Sam was physically and sexually assaulted and forced to endure degrading acts, including consuming urine and feces. Seven suspects were arrested and charged in connection with the crime: 38-year-old Precious Arzuaga, 33-year-old Kyle Sage, 30-year-old Patrick Goodwin, 30-year-old Jennifer Quijano, 29-year-old Kimberly Sochia, 21-year-old Thomas Eaves, and 19-year-old Emily Motyka. Four defendants have pleaded guilty: Arzuaga, Quijano, Sage, and Motyka. Arzuaga and Quijano were each sentenced to life without parole. Motyka and Sage are awaiting sentencing, while Sochia, Eaves, and Goodwin are awaiting trial. #truecrime
