Meet Irene, a baby orangutan who was rescued after her habitat was destroyed by wildfires in Indonesia. After Irene and her mother were found in West Kalimantan, the Ministry of Forestry worked with wildlife expert @karmelemacaca to safely transport them together to a rehabilitation center, where they received appropriate medical attention and care. Experts say that after the fires, Irene's mother was struggling to find food in their environment. When her mother was sedated, Irene sought comfort in the arms of her rescuer. #Orangutan #Wildfires #Rescue #Indonesia
