More Information ⬇️ A 2025 JAMA review put a number on what happened here: about 1 in 10 superficial vein clots progress to a deep vein thrombosis or a pulmonary embolism, and about 1 in 4 people with a superficial clot in the leg already have a deep clot at the time it is found. So a superficial clot is lower risk, but it is never a nothing finding. The part people miss: blood thinners are the reason his season is over, not the clot alone. Once you start anticoagulation you cannot take hits, because any hard impact can cause dangerous bleeding. That is the tradeoff that ends seasons. What are your thoughts?
