5-Year-Old Killed by Falling School Display Board. A little boy was killed after a digital whiteboard fell on him at an elementary school in Brevard County, in what officials called a "tragic accident" on Wednesday. Brevard Public Schools said in a news release that a large "video display board" fell on the student at Riviera Elementary School in Palm Bay, just a few miles southwest of Melbourne, Florida. "School staff immediately called 911 and began emergency lifesaving measures," the district told our NBC affiliate WESH. "The student was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center, where medical personnel continued resuscitation efforts. Despite those efforts, the student passed away." Our affiliate reported that the boy's family identified him as 5-year-old Bellamy Dawkins-Morris. The school district also confirmed to WESH that it was a Promethean Board that fell on him. #Florida #Display #School #Kids
